A Day Filled with Love and Meaning
Some wedding days are remembered for their beautiful setting, others for the people who make them special. And then there are weddings where everything comes together to create memories that will last a lifetime.
Fiorella and Micah’s wedding at Dreams Los Cabos was an opportunity to celebrate one of life’s most meaningful moments: choosing to build a future together, surrounded by the people who matter most.
As a wedding photographer, I believe the beauty of a wedding lies not only in how everything looks, but also in how it feels. The anticipation before the ceremony, the emotions shared during the vows, the embraces with family, and the joy of celebrating together all contribute to a story worth preserving.
Through this collection, I wanted to capture the essence of Fiorella and Micah’s day with a balance of natural moments, elegant portraits, and the little details that make a wedding uniquely theirs.
The Ceremony: The Beginning of Forever
Every wedding has a defining moment, and the ceremony is often at the heart of it all.
It is the moment when the excitement and anticipation of the day become something real. Two people stand together, surrounded by their loved ones, and make a promise to share their lives.
For me, photographing a ceremony means paying attention to more than the main events. It means watching for the expressions, the glances, the smiles, and the emotions unfolding around the couple. Sometimes, the most meaningful photograph is not the one everyone expects, but a spontaneous moment that captures exactly how someone felt.
These are the images that allow couples to return to their wedding day and experience those emotions all over again.
Family: The People Who Make Every Moment More Special
A wedding is also a celebration of family and the relationships that have shaped a couple’s lives.
Family photographs preserve the people who stood beside Fiorella and Micah as they began this new chapter. While portraits may seem like a small part of the day, their significance grows with time. They become a record of the people who were there, the generations who came together, and the love surrounding the couple.
Alongside the formal photographs, I always look for natural interactions: a warm embrace, a proud smile, a shared laugh, or a moment when everyone forgets about the camera.
Those photographs help tell a more complete story, not just of a wedding, but of the people who made it meaningful.
Fiorella & Micah: A Moment Away From Everything Else
After the ceremony, it was time for Fiorella and Micah to enjoy a few moments together and celebrate their marriage through their wedding portraits. Couple portraits are one of my favorite parts of the day because they offer a little space to slow down. With so much happening during a wedding, these moments allow newlyweds to focus on each other and appreciate what they have just experienced.
My approach combines gentle direction with room for spontaneity. I want couples to feel comfortable, move naturally, and enjoy being together rather than worrying about how to pose.
The result is a collection of images that feels both elegant and genuine, photographs that capture not only the way the couple looked, but also the connection they share.
The Reception: Celebrating a New Beginning
Once the formalities were over, the celebration continued with family and friends.
The reception brings a different energy to a wedding day. It is where the excitement becomes celebration, conversations turn into laughter, and everyone has the chance to enjoy being together.
These moments are an essential part of the wedding story. Alongside the ceremony and portraits, reception photographs preserve the atmosphere of the celebration and the joy of sharing such an important milestone with loved ones.
I love documenting these moments as they unfold naturally. The spontaneous expressions, interactions between guests, and little surprises throughout the evening often become some of the most treasured photographs in a wedding gallery.
More Than Beautiful Photographs
When I photograph a wedding, my goal is to create more than a collection of images that look beautiful together. I want to preserve the experience.
Years from now, Fiorella and Micah may look through these photographs and remember how the day began, the people who celebrated with them, the emotions of the ceremony, and the feeling of being newly married.
That is what makes wedding photography so meaningful to me.
Every couple has a different story, and every wedding deserves to be documented with care, intention, and respect for the moments that make it unique.
At Cabo Light Photography, I combine a documentary approach to genuine moments with an editorial eye for composition, light, and timeless portraits. My goal is to create photographs that feel natural today and remain meaningful for years to come.
Congratulations, Fiorella & Micah
